Davvi – Senter for scenekunst er stolte samarbeidspartnere i Italy–Norway Dance Residencies, et internasjonalt utvekslingsprogram som kobler norske og italienske dansekunstnere gjennom gjensidige residensopphold, faglige nettverk og nye kunstneriske impulser. Programmet ble etablert som et samarbeid mellom PAHN, Norges ambassade i Roma, New Italian Dance Platform og Det Italienske Kulturinstituttet i Oslo.

Nå åpnes det for søknader til residensperioden 2026/2027 for to residenssteder i Italia, med søknadsfrist 2. mars 2026. Residensstedene er L`Arboreto og Anghiari Dance Hub.

Som nasjonalt kompetansesenter for scenekunst i nord er Davvi – Senter for scenekunst opptatt av å styrke det internasjonale arbeidet til dansekunstnere i Nord-Norge og Sápmi. Programmet gir kunstnere mulighet til å arbeide i nye kulturelle kontekster, utvikle faglige nettverk, utforske kunstneriske prosesser uten produksjonspress og bygge dialog med kolleger fra et annet dansefelt. Dette bidrar til å utvide ytringsrom og kunstneriske perspektiver, og åpner for nye retninger i kunstnerskap fra regionen.

Italy–Norway Dance Residencies støttes av det italienske kulturdepartementet, PAHN, Det Italienske Kulturinstituttet i Oslo og Den norske ambassaden i Roma. Programmet koordineres av New Italian Dance Platform og PAHN og involverer åtte residenspartnere i Norge og Italia, inkludert Davvi – Senter for scenekunst.

Davvi – Centre for Performing Arts is proud to be a partner in the Italy–Norway Dance Residencies, an international exchange program connecting Norwegian and Italian dance artists through residencies, professional networks, and new creative impulses. The initiative was launched through a collaboration between PAHN, the Norwegian Embassy in Rome, the New Italian Dance Platform, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo.

The open call for the 2026/2027 residency cycle is now available, with a deadline of March 2, 2026.

As a national performing arts centre located in the north, Davvi – Centre for Performing Arts is committed to supporting international opportunities for dance artists working in Northern Norway and Sápmi. The program offers artists the chance to develop work in new cultural contexts, expand professional networks, explore artistic processes without production constraints, and engage in dialogue with peers from a different dance landscape. These encounters strengthen artistic development, open new pathways, and contribute to long-term international collaborations.

The program is supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, PAHN, the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo, and the Norwegian Embassy in Rome. Coordinated by New Italian Dance Platform and PAHN, it includes eight residency partners across Italy and Norway, among them Davvi – Centre for Performing Arts.
